DEM Party to hold primary elections on 13 and 14 January
The DEM Party Central Executive Board meeting decided that the primary elections for the candidates to be nominated in the 31 March local elections will be held on 13-14 January.

The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Central Executive Board (MYK) convened under the chairmanship of co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan. At the meeting, important decisions were taken regarding the primary elections and city reconciliation.
Primary elections
The meeting decided that the primary elections would be held in some 50 cities on January 13-14. The appointment of hundreds of party executives was also discussed at the meeting that decided that Party Assembly members, deputies, Women's Assembly members, Youth Assembly members, district administrators and representatives of civil society organizations would take part in the cities where the primary election will be held. The various delegations will hold preliminary information meetings to ensure that the primary election is held in a healthy and transparent way. Work has also been accelerated to complete the delegate lists to be included in the cities.
Working for urban reconciliation
The DEM Party worked on a "Urban Consensus" plan to be clarified city by city. In order to do this, contacts with democracy forces, civil society organizations and political parties will be intensified in Hatay, Mersin, Istanbul and Ankara.
