Hundreds from the nearby villages of Xirbokê, Kolya and Gundê Mala Dino have started to march to Silopi after gathering in Xirbokê village today noon. The mass was stopped and blocked by water cannons and armored vehicles on the way to Silopi.
Villagers are responding to the crackdown with live ammunition, tear gas and high pressure water.
