Imprisoned former Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Figen Yuksekdag sent a message from the Kandira Type F Prison for March 8 World Working Women’s Day. The message was shared online by HDP Women’s Assembly along with a video.

“WE WILL LIVE IN A WOMEN’S SPRING AND A SPRING FOR HUMANITY”

Yuksekdag’s message is as follows:

“I wish all women a life and future that will be more beautiful through the awareness, joy and resilience of March 8 every day of their lives. March 8 of 2019 is a day when spring comes to our peoples’ land of the struggle as the women of the world from Rojava to Europe, from Amed to America, shout out loud the historic and current righteous movement of women, in a united voice and united heart, and continue to push forward with strikes and struggles. Let us never lose faith that we will live in a women’s spring and a spring for greater humanity to our heart’s desire. With love…”
