YPS-JIN Coordination issued a written statement to mark its 5th anniversary.

The statement said: "During the life of YPS-JIN we have witnessed on one hand the fascist-colonial capitalist system deepening the war with all sorts of dirty methods, while on the other hand we saw the struggle of the resisting peoples, women and young people to protect their very existence and achieve freedom. We are entering our 5th year with great determination and sense of victory."

The statement added: "The international conspiracy continues with a new concept for the complete liquidation and destruction of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and the Women's Freedom Struggle by targeting Leader Öcalan."

The statement continued: "Freedom is closer than ever. YPS-JIN salutes all women on 8 March. We salute all of those who resist with the fire of freedom, and we promise that we will raise the struggle with the awareness and belief that the 21st century will be the century of women's freedom ."
