Young Women's Union Centre opened in Tabqa

The center was named after YPJ fighter martyred in the city of Tabqa, Hêlin Cudi.

Young Women's Union Center was opened in Tabqa. 

The opening ceremony was attended by the Young Women's Union Executives of the Northern Syria Region, the Co-Chairs of the Tabqa District Civil Administration Council, Hind Al-Eli and Shiyar Mihemed, the Co-Chair of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Tabqa, Rewshen Hemê, and Musena Ebdulkerim, the office director of the Syrian Future Party.

Speaking at the ceremony, Fatma al-Etiyê, executive of the Young Women's Union in Tabqa Region, stated that women's freedom doesn’t mean freedom of wear whatever dress they want, but freedom of thought. 

She added that education is the basic right of women, but because of the patriarchal mentality, women have been deprived of this right. 

Rewshen Hemê, co-chair of the Tabqa Legislative Assembly, congratulated the opening of the center for young women and hoped that the center would solve the problems of women and win their rights using the democracy tools. 

Zehra El-Felah, the Youth Work Director of the Future Party of Syria, said: “Women are the main foundation of society. Life without women, parents, sisters, warriors and martyrs, women would simply not exist”.

The center was named after YPJ fighter martyred in the city of Tabqa, Hêlin Cudi. Her mother cut the ribbon and declared the centre officially open.
