As part of ongoing efforts to combat the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the participation of the Internal Security Forces, conducted a targeted security operation on Thursday in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
In a statement on Sunday, the SDF Press Center said: “Following extensive surveillance and intelligence gathering, the operation successfully identified the whereabouts and activities of ISIS-affiliated cells. Our forces raided the place where the terrorists were hiding, capturing ten ISIS terrorists who were involved in attacks against our forces, civilians, and public infrastructure.
During the operation, a cache of weapons and ammunition was also seized.”
