Some four thousand women attended the march organized by the 8 March Women's Platform in Cologne.

Women joined the drum sounds of Cologne Kevana Zerin folklore team shouting "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi". 

We have the colours of the rainbow

The women carried banners, TJK-E flags and photographs of the three Kurdish revolutionary women murdered in Paris. The folklore and drum team of the Cologne Viyan Women's Council also joined the march. A hand-sewn German banner "Women will change the world" and the rainbow claimed the attention of the media.

The women walking in the busiest streets of Cologne, with their colorful clothes shouted "We are very angry", "We will not let fascism go through". Women saluted the Rojava revolution and undelrined the need for unity.

After marching about 3 hours, women activists entered Chlodwigplatz. Colorful images emerged as all women started dancing at the same time. After the dance, speeches were made.

Yıldız Filmci made a speech on behalf of YJK-E. Despite all the attacks on women, Filmci stressed that the 21st century is gradually moving towards becoming an age of freedom for women and peoples. "Everywhere there is an increase in strong willed, organized, self-defending women's movements towards a common democratic life project. With this in mind, women should fight more effectively than ever before against dominant male fascism and genocide practices."

Filmci added: "We are in a period in which we need to strengthen our unity and organization in order to experience beauty, diversity and justice. We call it "Women's Age". With the struggle of Kurdish women, the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" is no longer a slogan and has turned into a philosophy of life. It inspired women all over the world, gave many courage and strength. This strong struggle of women will be a blow to the sovereign system."
