Women’s organisations abroad call for vote for HDP

More than 50 women’s organisations in countries all over Europe, and in Canada and Australia have called for a vote for the HDP at the upcoming elections.

More than 50 women’s organisations in countries all over Europe, and in Canada and Australia have called for a vote for the HDP at the upcoming elections.

The organisations made an announcement, saying:

“We women oppose the reactionary, oppressive policies that want to keep women enslaved. We do not want a patriarchal, chauvinistic, fascist dictatorial presidential system!

We reject the policies of those who say: ’Pregnant women should not go out,’ ‘women shouldn’t laugh in public’, ‘working women create unemployment’ and the attitude that sees women merely as housewives.

We do not want a system that creates the conditions where there are increasing attacks on women and 5 women are murdered every day!

We women want an equal, free, just and honourable life.

The address of this new life is the HDP

The statement issued by the women’s organisations stressed that the HDP is the only party that is waging a struggle for freedom, peace and justice, and implementing positive discrimination in all spheres.

The statement also emphasised that the HDP is the only party that rejects all gender-based restrictions, calls for an end to compulsory religious classes and an end to the persecution of faith groups such as the Alevis, Christians, Jews and Yazidis.

The statement also noted the HDP is the only party advocating freedom and equality for all, opposing homophobia and transsexual phobia, and calling for a life where no one is discriminated against or murdered on account of their sexual orientation and identity.

The statement concluded by calling on all women who reject enslavement to go to the ballot boxes and vote for the HDP, which is calling for a new life where oppressed and exploited working people will have a say in the running of society.
