Women in Mexico support Kongra Star petition and call

Solidarity to women in North and East Syria from women in Mexico.

Women in Mexico supported the initiative launched to protect the achievements of the women's revolution by women's organizations in North and East Syria.

Women's organizations in North and East Syria launched the campaign ‘No to occupation and genocide!’ with the slogan ‘Let's protect women and life together’. As part of the campaign is a petition to protect the achievements of the women’s revolution and to get the support of women from all over the world to respond to all kinds of occupation and genocide.

Mexican women supported the signing campaign and prepared the pictures of the Syrian Future Party Secretary General Martyr Hevrin Xelef murdered by ISIS mercenaries, members of Kongra Star Martyr Zehra Berkel, Martyr Hebun Xelil and Martyr Emine who were killed by the invading Turkish state in Kobanê.

“Solidarity greetings were sent from friends in Mexico to the women's revolution in Rojava / North and East Syria,” said Kongra Star in a statement and added: “The murder of our comrades Hevrîn, Zehra, Hebûn and Emîne has shown how femicide is on the rise worldwide, and how fascism attacks organised women. Our history is resistance. It is what allowed us to defend ourselves from state violence and its patriarchal mindset, which needs to enslave women to maintain its power. That's why it kills women who do not submit. That’s why they fear free women. Organised and together we will end femicide!”

The statement ended with a call to “sign our petition to strengthen solidarity among women against occupation and genocide! With the present state of the world, it is more important than ever. Let's join together and join our struggles."
