Woman HDP parliamentarians kept in isolation in prison
Woman HDP parliamentarians are being kept in isolation in prison. Gülser Yıldırım, one of the jailed parliamentarians, said “We are in isolation, we are being kept in one-person cells.”
During her weekly phone-call, woman HDP parliamentarian Gülser Yıldırım who had been arrested during the recent political genocide operations, informed her husband Kamuran Yıldırım about her conditions. Yıldırım noted that she, HDP Co-President Figen Yüksekdağ, Amed Municipality Co-Mayor Gültan Kışanak and KJA Spokesperson Ayla Akat have been kept in one-person cells in Kandıra No 1 Type F prison.
‘ALL CONTACTS FORBIDDEN’
Kamuran Yıldırım expressed that during a phone call on Friday, Gülser Yıldırım told him that she, Figen Yüksekdağ, Gültan Kışanak and Ayla Akat have been kept in isolation where all contacts are forbidden.”
‘OUR RESISTANCE WILL CONTINUE’
Yıldırım noted that HDP Group Deputy Chairman İdris Baluken and Parliamentarian Ferhat Encü have also been kept in isolation in the same prison, and the imprisoned HDP parliamentarians emphasize that their resistance continues and they will not bow down.
Lastly, Yıldırım called upon everyone to show solidarity with the imprisoned co-presidents and parliamentarians and send them letters and cards.
