Leyla Öztürk, who lives in Tarsus, province of Mersin, was murdered with a firearm by her relative Sebahattin Öztürk, a village guard in Elaziğ.

The medical teams, who came to the scene after the alarm given by neighbours, took Öztürk's body to the hospital morgue.

On the other hand, the perpetrator Sebahattin Öztürk, who tried to kill himself at the scene, was taken to Tarsus State Hospital.
