TJK-E launches 'One Thousand Women, One Voice' campaign

TJK-E launched the campaign "One Thousand Women, One Voice" as part of the "Freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question" campaign.

The Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) launched a new campaign as part of the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question" campaign launched globally in October 2023.

The campaign "One Thousand Women, One Voice" aims to "unite the voices of women from different peoples and cultures against the genocidal system" in İmralı where Öcalan has been held since 1999.

TJK-E stated that they would conclude the campaign once they reached one thousand women and announced that women from different parts of the world, from the Middle East to Africa, Asia and Europe have already participated in the campaign.

Women from different geographies, nations, language groups, beliefs and cultures will be able to participate in the campaign by shooting short videos in the language of their choice.

TJK-E noted that solidarity with Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan can also be expressed in the form of "poetry, dance, speech or song".

Women from Chile, Catalonia, Kurdistan, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Oromia, Switzerland and South Africa have already participated in the campaign with video messages demanding the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
