TJK-E condemns killings of Darwish, Shiwesh and Tuma

The European Kurdish Women's Movement (TJK-E) condemned the attack in which Qamishlo Canton co-chair Yusra Darwish, her deputy Leman Shiwesh and their driver Fırat Tuma were murdered.

The European Kurdish Women's Movement (TJK-E) issued a statement offering its condolences to the families and relatives of Qamishlo Canton co-chair Yusra Darwişh, her deputy Leman Shiwesh and their driver Fırat Tuma. Co-chair Gabi Shemûn was seriously injured in the attack.

The statement said: "The European Kurdish Women's Movement, expresses its condolences to the families and relatives of our martyrs, and promises to make our martyrs' dreams come true. The AKP-MHP fascist state continues its genocide and invasion attacks against the Kurdish people after the election. Dictator Erdoğan and the genocidal Turkish state are using every means to invade Rojava and Northern and Eastern Syria. In the face of these attacks, which took place in front of the eyes of the whole world, international institutions are playing 3 monkeys. We know very well that military, economic and diplomatic cooperation between Turkey, the US, NATO and European countries is dirty cooperation. It is an alliance built on the blood of the Kurdish people. The forces that approve these attacks directly or in silence are partners in this crime against humanity. Once again, we call on the international institutions, which ignore the attacks of this misogynist and fascist regime targeting women, to break their silence and take action. Do not be a party to the genocide of dictator Erdoğan, and end your political, military and financial support."

The statement continued: “No matter where the attacks come from, women and our people will not allow them and will stand up and resist the occupation. The Rojava Revolution was a women's revolution. The Rojava Revolution has shown its influence on all the peoples of the Middle East and the world, with the organized power of both the organized community and the women.

The autonomous organization of women has become the main force behind the social revolution.

A democratic life system in peace and stability was established under the leadership of women by fighting against barbarian ISIS gangs. It can be said that Rojava constitutes a unique example of a peaceful and democratic Middle East."

The statement added: "The European Kurdish Women's Movement condemns this treacherous and vile attack. We will defend the Rojava Revolution against any attack wherever we are. The Rojava Revolution, which guides all women on the road to the world women's revolution, is our revolution. The slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî”, which has become a song of resistance for every woman in the world, gained spirit in the Rojava revolution and became the color of life.

We call on all our people, especially women, our friends, revolutionaries, democrats, intellectuals and all those who are on the side of humanity to join our actions and increase the struggle against the invasion and genocidal attacks carried out by the fascist Turkish state."
