TJA activist: The language of war between Kurds should be avoided

TJA activist Zelal Bilgin pointed out that various tricks are being introduced to instigate a Kurdish fratricidal war and called on everyone to stay away from the language of war: "There is no greater pain than Kurdish bloodshed."

The Turkish state's invasion attacks on Southern Kurdistan continue. TJA activist Zelal Bilgin made remarks over the Turkish invasion attacks in Bashur [Southern Kurdistan] and the role of KDP.

Stating that national unity efforts are being carried out against the divide-and-rule policy of international powers, Bilgin remarked that a Kurdish civil war is prompted in a period when the Middle East is being redesigned.

Emphasizing that the events in Bashur have dangerously escalated, Bilgin said, "The reason for this is that the dominant powers act for their interests and purposes. They want to guarantee their future. Therefore, they use different powers based on their interests. Today we are witnessing such things."

SUPPORTING TURKEY IS JEOPARDIZING KURDISTAN

Speaking about KDP's cooperation with Turkey, Bilgin continued as follows: "We think that the collaboration and partnership with Turkey should be ended. Sufferings of Birakujî (fratricide in Kurdish) war in the 1990s are still in people’s mind.  Cooperation with the Turkish state endangers not only Bashur but 4 parts of Kurdistan, so Kurds not only lose their gains, but face a genocide process.

As a women's movement, we attach great importance to national unity. On this occasion, we once again call on parties, organizations, institutions and individuals. National unity is a remedy for the Kurds. Therefore, attempts to achieve this should continue uninterrupted. First of all, a struggle should be developed lest brothers' blood is shed. A stance and reaction must be put forward against those who shed the blood of the Kurds. As the women's movement, national unity is very important to us and we do not want to be part of the war. Because we, women, are at a disadvantage if a civil war erupts. We women are those who suffer the most from war. All our living spaces have been restricted by wars, and we are the first to be attacked. That's why national unity efforts are very valuable to us.”

THE PRESS MUST ALSO ABSTAIN FROM THE LANGUAGE OF WAR

Reminding that war is very easy to break out but that great efforts should be given for peace, Bilgin made the following call to all forces as TJA: "Everybody should engage in efforts for national unity with great sacrifice and patience. Nobody should be duped by provocation. Some press outlets and some forces should refrain from the language of war.

There is no greater pain than a Kurdish bloodshed. This situation might bring enormous damage. Everyone should be sensitive and understand the goals of the dominant powers. Both inside and outside Turkey takes a hard line with the Kurds. Wherever there is a Kurdish achievement, Turkey wants to eliminate it. Turkey is embracing anti-Kurdish policies.

The enemy and hegemonic forces that want to destroy the gains of the Kurdish people want to weaken the Kurds by applying isolation to Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Mr. Masoud Barzani and all Kurdish forces should see this situation and play their role for national unity.”

INTERESTS ARE NOT ONE SIDED

Ending her remarks, Bilgin pointed out that the interests of the Kurds should not be one-sided; "If there are gains that concern all Kurds, then it makes sense. The struggle and activities of the Kurdish parties and Kurdish forces should be carried out for the freedom of the Kurds. That is why the parties in Bashur should act on these principles and approach these issues sensitively. A group of women came together for national unity. We will conduct joint work with this women's group in the future.”
