Womens’ organizations in Amed working under the Network Against Violence put up black and purple colors around the city to raise awareness for femicides.
Black and purple banners were put up in Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Amed offices and the Kayapinar municipality service building. Women put up purple and black banners in their homes and on their cars in traffic.
