Kongreya Star has presented the program of activities planned to mark 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, in Kobanê.
Reading the statement prepared by Kongreya Star, the Human Rights Association and Sara Organization to Combat Violence against Women, Madlen Şex Xidir from Kongreya Star said: “We are launching actions against violence against women and at the same time in support of Afrin and Reber Apo (Leader Öcalan). We are demanding the freedom of Kurdish people’s Leader, Ocalan and an end to the isolation regime imposed on him. Likewise, - said Xidir - we are condemning the attacks by the Turkish state against Rojava, targeting civilians and children”.

14 November: distribution of brochures
16 November: seminars begin
17 November: Signature collection demanding freedom for Öcalan
18 November: Seminar in the village of Elpelûr
19 November: Exhibition at the museum
20 November: March
21 November: Theatre performances at the Arîn Mîrkan Center
22 November: Seminar and video presentation at Baqî Xido Culture and Art Center
23 November: Seminar and video screening in Şêran
24 November: Seminar and video screening in the village of Qinê while in Sirrîn a seminar will be promoted by the Syrian Women's Council
25 November: March and rally from Azadî Square to Peyker Square.
