PKK promises to avenge the Kurdish women murdered in Paris and Silopi

PKK has released a statement to commemorate Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez murdered in French capital Paris on 9 January 2013, and Sêvê Demir, Pakize Nayır and Fatma Uyar murdered in Şırnak's Silopi district on 5 January.

PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) Executive Committee has released a statement to commemorate Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez murdered in French capital Paris on 9 January 2013, and Sêvê Demir, Pakize Nayır and Fatma Uyar murdered in Şırnak's Silopi district on 5 January.

The statement underlined that the freedom struggle of Kurdish women hasn't ended and will not end with the murder of Sakine and her comrades alongside her, for they will be replaced by more women who will continue to lead the struggle in entire Kurdistan.

PKK commemorated Sakince Cansız (Sara), Fidan Doğan (Rojbin) and Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahi) on the fourth anniversary of their murder in the hearth of Paris, and saluted the Kurdish women, youths and all those who have undertaken the leadership of the struggle for free life and are resisting from birth to death today.

'ATROCITY IS A PROOF OF DETERIORATION'

Condemning the fascist, savage and inhuman attacks aimed at the Kurdish people and all resisting circles, PKK said this atrocity was a proof of the deterioration the Turkish state is currently going through.

According to PKK, imposition of a colonization and occupation aims to silence the democratic revolutionary public opinion of Turkey on massacres and attacks. "Physical, cultural and political massacres are going on in Turkey, and these aim a semantic massacre within Turkey's society as well. In response to this, stepping up the all-out struggle against the fascist occupant ruling becomes the single condition for the freedom of Turkey's society."

Describing the Kurdish freedom movement as the "revolution of the Middle East and world', PKK pointed out that this resistance endures with commitment, determination and dignity against occupation, fascism and every kind of annihilation aggression.

'KURDISH WOMEN AND YOUTHS WILL AVENGE THE MARTYRS'

The statement stressed that the democratic autonomy revolution led by PKK has evolved into a commitment for free life extending from Rojava and Bashur to Shengal, Silopi and entire Kurdistan territory, adding; "The spirit of resistance in Silopi, Cizre, Nusaybin and Sur will inevitably spread across all the cities and neighborhoods of Kurdistan. Kurdish people will base on the heritage of resistance they have taken over from three Kurdish woman politicians killed in Silopi on the anniversary of the murder of Sakine, Fidan and Leyla. Kurdish women, youths and people will avenge these mass killings. As PKK we promise to avenge all our people massacred in the cities of Kurdistan and the leading Kurdish women who were tortured and executed after being captured alive."

'ALL-OUT RESISTANCE IS THE ONLY CONDITION OF FREE LIFE'

PKK said Kurdish people are very well aware of the fact that life is resistance from birth to death, adding; "This resistance is today led by the women of Kurdistan. It is a character of fascism to fear free women, and this fear can be seen from the murder by fascist state forces of young girls, women and mothers, and even 3-month-old babies. For this very reason, it will be a major point to enhance the stance of free women under the leadership of PKK and PAJK."

'MORE WOMEN WILL GROW UP AND LEAD THE RESISTANCE IN KURDISTAN'

PKK emphasised that murder of leading figures of Kurdistan women's struggle will not end this fight but on the contrary make it grow stronger.

"As is seen in Silopi case today, more women will be born, grow up and continue to lead the resistance in Kurdistan. The resistance of free Kurdish women, which became globally recognized with Sara and her comrades, will realize the resistance of culture it has created around the world. The resistance started by Sakine continues today with Sêvê, Fatma and Pakize. Kurdish women have undertaken this heritage and carried it from mountains to neighborhoods, people's assemblies and the heart of every single Kurdish person", PKK said.

'WE WILL NOT ALLOW HUMANITY BE KILLED'

PKK vowed that; "On the basis of the slogan led by our comrade Sêvê Demir "Woman is life. Killing life is killing humanity", we will not allow humanity be killed. We promise to wage any kind of struggle for a dignified life, to enhance the fight and never give up the resistance until we create a free life."

Strongly condemning the Paris and Silopi killings of 9 Jan. 2013 and 5 Jan. 2015, PKK commemorated Sara, Rojbin, Ronahi alongside Sêvê, Fatma and Pakize and all the woman revolutionaries that fell a martyr, PKK reiterated their promise to carry the struggle of martyrs to victory.

PKK ended its statement by calling upon all Kurdistan youths and people to enhance the resistance, and inviting all patriotic, revolutionary and democratic public opinion to join and endure the resistance until a free life is attained.
