Peace Mothers denounce KDP’s plans, call for dialogue

Amed Peace Mothers Assembly denounced the collaborative plans of the KDP and called for dialogue.

Amed (Diyarbakir) Peace Mothers Assembly made a press statement on Friday criticizing the collaborative policies in Southern Kurdistan. Emine Deniz and Meryem Turan made the statement on behalf of the mothers.

Emine Deniz emphasized that any conflict in Southern Kurdistan will not be good for the Kurds and stated that Masoud Barzani should intervene as soon as possible, otherwise there will be very bad consequences in case of a possible conflict. Deniz remarked that, “I urge both sides to dialogue as soon as possible. No more “Birakuji” (fratricide in Kurdish) policy, this is not an achievement for us. Enough is enough! We don't want to see blood and tears. We, mothers, have always stood for peace and we have been able to shake every peaceful hand. Let Barzani, too, give us a peaceful hand”.

KDP SHOULD NOT BE TRICKED!

Meryem Turan stressed that the KDP should not be fooled by other states, and that politics should not be carried out through the blood of Kurdish children. Turan added that, "Enough is enough! Do not shed the blood of Kurdish children. Do not let them do politics with the blood of our children. If Barzani is in power comfortably, it is thanks to the Kurds. We say enough is enough.”

The statement was concluded with the slogan "Dayîk evil naxawzin, Aşîtiyê dixwazin" (Mothers do not want war, they want peace) and applause.
