In a written statement issued to mark 8 March, theNorth and East Syrian Veterans Committee commended all working women, Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, and all martyrs.
Emphasizing that life should be built on women's freedom, the Veterans Committee noted that it is necessary to take to the streets to defend women's freedom against the capitalist and patriarchal mentality.
The Veterans Committee said: "Every woman knits life on her own land" thus forging a link between land and identity and ideology.
Expressing that capitalist modernity has imprisoned the female body today, the Veterans Committee pointed out that although the struggle of women around the world is getting stronger, many women still remain under the persecution of men.
Hoping that revolutionary women will be the voice of all women in the international arena and in the Middle East, the Committee said: "The path of women's freedom will achieve victory. A free woman means a free society. ”
