More than 70 women organisations announced their participation in the 'Justice March', and issued a written call for attendance.
70 women organisations issued a joint statement with the title "Men never brought along any justice. Let's join the march to ensure true justice".
The joint statement commemorated activist and artist Pippa Bacca who was killed 9 years ago in 2008 in Turkey, recalling that "She was killed by the violence of men when she travelled per hitch-hike in an activity for world peace to prove that the world is still a safe place."
The women organisations pledged that 'thousands of Pippas will pass through the location of her death in a demand of rights, law and justice, and continued, "Notwithstanding the very weak possibility of a secure and peaceful life, it is still something which we cannot let go of. We as women deem it as important to attend the march for justice representing our own wishes."
The end of the jointstatement says, "We call on all women to attend the march for justice in purple garments on July 6, beginning at the location in Gebze where Pippa Bacca was killed, so that we do not march for the justice of men and the unlawfulness of the state of emergency, but for true justice, for a democratic world, equality and freedom."
