Kurdish women protest for Öcalan’s freedom in front of the EP

Kurdish women took to the streets in order to protest the isolation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the Turkish state policies of genocide.

Women led by the Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe (TJK-E) organized a protest in front of the European Parliament (EP) building in the Belgian capital Brussels.

Hundreds of women came together and demanded freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan during the protest organized with the motto "Women protest for their Leader and freedom."

TJK-E spokesperson Dilşah Osman spoke during the protest and said that Öcalan has valued the labor of women the most. Osman called upon Kurdish women to take to the streets and noted that TJK-E protests would continue.
