KJK: Let's turn Newroz into a process that destroys fascism

"The historical legacy of March 8 and the resistance led by Blacksmith Kawa are the meeting point of the struggle for the free man and the free woman."

The KJK Coordination issued a written statement on Kurdish New Year Newroz, March 21st.

“We welcome Newroz 2019 - said the KJK - which arrives after the resistance of millions of women who stood up on 8 March, World Working Women's Day, chanting their slogan ‘Jin Jiyan Azadi’ (‘Woman, Life, Freedom’) and supported  Leyla Güven.”

The KJK added: “The message sent by Zülküf Gezen with his action is clear. Zülküf Gezen imposed to each and every one of us to celebrate his memory and increase our struggle even further.

We promise Zülküf to carry on the struggle until we succeed. We extend our condolences to his family, and our people.”

Newroz means Kurdish people's uprising and struggle, said the KJK. “Contemporary resistance heroes such as Mazlum Dogan, Zekiye Alkan and Sema Yüce are the basis of today’s resistance.

The history of Newroz is based on social, cultural and spiritual values. The action being carried out by thousands of revolutionaries and patriots is led by Leyla Güven with socialist personality. Leyla and the other friends are fighting for freedom and utopia, and to give everyone the chance to live a meaningful life.”

The historical legacy of March 8 and the resistance led by Blacksmith Kawa are the meeting point of the struggle for the free man and the free woman. The bridge linking 8 March and Newroz is the resistance of thousands modern Kawa longing and hoping and finally making the dream come true.”

Millions will be filling the squares on Newroz

The statement continued: “We know and expect that all squares will be filled with a spirit and responsibility on Newroz day up to the moment of resistance and struggle we are witnessing. By combining this struggle and resistance with Newroz, millions of people will gather together embracing leader Apo and the martyrs.

The resistance led by women from 8 March to 21 March and launched by Leyla Güven will continue until isolation is lifted.”
