The fourth congress of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) will take place in Ankara next weekend. Besides the delegates, numerous guests from abroad are expected. One of them is Yosra Fraves from Tunisia. She is the chairperson of the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women and was welcomed today at the HDP headquarters by representatives of the Women's Council.
The meeting was attended by HDP co-chair Pervin Buldan, Women's Council spokeswoman Dilan Dirayet Taşdemir, Foreign Policy Commission spokeswoman Feleknas Uca, and Ayşe Berktay and Sultan Özcan of the HDP Women's Council. The discussion focused on the HDP's women's policy, the system of gender-equal dual leadership anchored in all its bodies, the struggle of women in the Middle East and international solidarity.
Yosra Fraves informed the HDP group about the women's movement in Tunisia and said that the struggle of Kurdish women is also known and appreciated in her country.
