Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Women's Assembly Spokesperson and Ağrı MP Dirayet Dilan Taşdemir has been detained by police who stopped her car while leaving Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı Monday afternoon.

Police forces with armored vehicles followed Taşdemir and those accompanying her for a while as they left Doğubayazıt after preparations for the Newroz. After stopping the car at the exit of the district, police took Taşdemir into custody.

HDP MP was forced into an armored vehicle and taken into custody, reportedly in line with an arrest warrant she faced due to a summary of proceedings issued against her.
