European Socialist Women's Union on the streets until 25 November

The European Socialist Women's Union (SKB) has resumed its Wednesday Actions.

The European Socialist Women's Union (SKB) resumed its Wednesday Actions. The announcement was made in a written statement in which the SKB reminded that it was forced to stop its actions by the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the statement underlined the need to resume actions also given the fact that violence against women has increased more during the pandemic period.

The SKB will be in action every Wednesday until 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Leaflets in German, Dutch and French called “End Violence Against Women, Istanbul Convention Implemented! and "You Said Men 's Psychology Is Bad, You Gave Penalty Reduction. Apply the Istanbul Agreement," have been prepared to be handed out during the actions.

At the Cologne Kalk Post, posters, leaflets, red shoes were hung on a rope in front of the central post office, and SKB statements were hung on the surrounding walls. An action promoted by the European Women's Solidarity AKD components SKB, New Woman and ADKH was held in two places in Stuttgart.

“Women are murdered in this city, don't be silent” was written on the wall in the place where an immigrant Afghan woman was killed by her husband.

An action was also held in Fürtherst in the Gestenhof region in Nuremberg, where immigrants live.

Joint calls were made by the SKB and the young women's organization Zora for 25 November in Duisburg.

Again in Mannheim and Ulm women hung posters at the station.

Young women from SKB and Zora in Basel, called for actions on 25 November.

SKB banners were made and leaflets were distributed at separate points in Zurich.

In Amsterdam women members of the SKB took to the streets as they did in Antwerp and Brussels.

In Paris and the suburbs, women put up posters at Creil, Bobigny, Pierffitte stations.
