Turkish soldiers held prisoner by HPG guerrillas spoke to ANF on occasion of the Eid AL-Fitr.

ADİL KABAKLI: I was doing my military service in Erzincan. I was arrested while on my way back to my unit after going to an ATM. I am here for some 11 months. Today is an Eid day. I firstly wish a happy Eid to my family and ask them hereby to be patient and not to worry about me. I just expect them to not feel badly about me. I am always thinking of them. I manage to remain standing, thanks God. I hope we will see each other again. I know they have missed me very much and they are doing all they can for me. I have missed them too. I also want to say that I haven't forgotten my friends either and wish them, too, a happy Eid.

MÜSLÜM ALTINTAŞ: I was also arrested while doing my military service. I wish a blessed Eid to my family. I do not know with whom exactly they are in connection about me, but I do ask them to make their voices be heard by relevant authorities. I miss all of them very much. I would love to spend my holiday with them but I am unfortunately here because of the ongoing war in the country. I don't know how far this issue will go but I will be here for another while. They don't need to worry about me for now. There is a war in the country and we need to be here for some more time. I believe I will go back to them safe and sound one day.

ASIM SÜLEYMAN SUNGUR: I got arrested while doing my military service in Lice. I was not by my mother on the Mother's Day, nor for the past two holidays. I wish a happy Eid to my parents, siblings and all friends. I am fine and I am sure we will meet again one day. I just want them to be patient and make further efforts for me.
