The AKP, which is losing hope of gaining MPs in Batman, has written a letter to Hakan Tezel, a HPG guerrilla who died two and a half years ago, asking him to vote for the AKP.

The AKP has send a letter on behalf of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to Hakan Tezel, a HPG guerrilla who died 2 and a half years ago, asking for a vote for the AKP. His mother, Saniye Tezel, expressed her anger at the AKP, saying they had refreshed her grief.

Hakan Tezel (Masiro) died on 31 December 2012 with 9 of his comrades in a winter camp in the Lice district of Amed in a Turkish army bombardment. His family were shocked this morning to receive a letter from AKP Central Office written on behalf of PM Ahmet Davutoğlu calling for a vote for the AKP.

Other members of the family did not receive such letters, said his mother, Saniye Tezel, who said her son had been killed by the AKP Government during the peace process. She said: “Opening the letter this morning from the AKP Central Office and seeing Ahmet Davutoğlu’s picture refreshed my grief. It is significant that a letter only came addressed to Hakan. Why didn't any of my other 5 children get such a letter? You killed my children and then you send this."
