Whereabouts of Kurdish citizens abducted in Shehba unknown

The “Euphrates Shield” gangs commanded by Turkish officers abducted more than 100 Kurdish locals living in Shehba region 4 days ago. Local sources told ANF that the gangs were acting under command of a Turkish officer by the name of Ramazan Osmanoğlu.

Troops of the Turkish army and allied gangs that invade Northern Syria through their occupation operations called “Euphrates Shield” have raided several villages in Shehba region, including Til Circî, Sosinbat, Numan, Qibşîh and Kelben villages, and abducted dozens of Kurdish civilians 4 days ago.

A local that spoke to ANF on condition of anonymity told that gangs acting under command of a Turkish officer by the name of Ramazan Osmanoğlu raided their village with some 35 vehicles, and abducted dozens of civilians of all ages, adding that they did not know where these people were taken.

The village inhabitants were subjected to insults and not allowed to put on clothes even during the midnight raid of the gangs. The anonymous witness said: “They were beating the girls and women and uttering threats like “you will witness what is worse than ISIS, we will do what they did not do to you.”

During the raids, the gangs also confiscted the cars, cellphones and money of the people, saying, “You Kurds have no place in these villages. What the hell are you doing here and why don't you leave?”

According to the witness, a woman was naked when the gangs raided their home, upon which she asked them to get in after her getting dressed, but the gangs did not heed and entered the bedroom.

The local stressed that: “We do not accept this atrocity, nor should our people and friends. We are living in our own homes and lands. The gangs want to trample our honour, dignity and usurp our homes and properties. We will not bow down. We have nobody but our people, so I call on our people to stand with us.”
