No news from Kurdish dengbêj abducted by the invaders in Afrin

The invading Turkish army and their gangs abducted dengbêj Hesen Ebdo from Afrin one month ago. Ebdo hasn’t been heard from since and there is concern for his life.

Reports say the Turkish army abducted famous Afrini dengbêj (storyteller singing with music in Kurdish) Hesen Ebdo from the Kebashin village of the Sherawa district approximately one month ago. The fate of abductee Hesen Ebdo is still unknown.

News of theft, rape, torture and executions keep coming from the invaded Afrin every day. The Turkish state called the invasion operation against Afrin the “olive branch” and they continue to commit systematic war crimes in the region along with the gangs.

Turkish forces launched their invasion attacks on January 20, and entered the city center on March 18 along with the gangs. Since the invasion attacks started, hundreds of civilians have been killed and hundreds of others were abducted. Civilians’ homes were pillaged and bombed, their properties seized.

Many historic sites were also victimized by this violence. People were abducted and tortured every day, and properties seized. In a recent report ,the Human Rights Watch stated that Turkey-backed groups are pillaging and confiscating private property that belongs to Kurds.
