Aldar Xelîl: Northern Syria is heading towards a new stage

TEV-DEM Executive Council member Aldar Xelîl stated that Northern Syria is headed for a new stage and called on all citizens to elect candidates capable of representing the people.

TEV-DEM (Movement for a Democratic Society) Executive Council member Aldar Xelîl spoke at an assembly with the martyrs' families at the Martyr Delîl Sarûxan Cemetery in Qamişlo. The meeting focused on the latest political and military developments in Syria.  

Cizîrê Canton's Finance Council Co-chair Remziya Mihemed and dozens of families of martyrs from the Qamişlo Canton attended the meeting, which was organised by the Martyrs' Families Council.

The meeting started with a minute of silence, followed by a speech of TEV-DEM Executive Council member Aldar Xelîl who spoke about the role of martyrs in the Rojava-Northern Syria Revolution and said: "We owe everything and all diplomatic, political and military gains we have achieved to our martyrs played a primary role. We are living free today thanks to the fighters of the YPG and YPJ who are battling ISIS on the very front lines and in the so-called capital of those gangs and are liberating the city Raqqa from them inch by inch.

Xelîl stressed that the resistance put up by Northern Syria's youths of both genders equally has finished off the ISIS gangs and said: "The resistance of our warriors dissolved the ISIS gangs and destroyed the morale of Erdoğan's gangs."

Xelîl also mentioned the latest developments in Northern Syria and said: "We are entering a new stage now. The system of governance will change. Now the federal system is being built and everyone can proffer their opinion and take part in the administration."

At the end of his speech, TEV-DEM Executive Council Member Aldar Xelîl called on all citizens living in the region to go to the polls and elect their own representatives.
