The Turkish state and affiliated SNA (Syrian National Army) mercenaries continue their attacks on the Tishrin Dam and Qereqozax Bridge. YPJ-YPG and SDF fighters are putting up relentless resistance against the attacks that have been going on for months.

One of the fighters on the Qereqozax resistance front is YPJ Commander Şîlan Şoreş. Speaking to ANF, Şîlan Şoreş celebrated International Women's Day, and stated the following about the historic resistance at Qereqozax:

“As the whole world knows, the war has been going on for a long time. In particular, the attacks on the Qereqozax Bridge have been going on for months. We are in a battle position right now. The enemy is carrying out all kinds of attacks to capture the bridge, but as YPJ fighters, we do not give up our revolutionary stance against the enemy. Whatever the cost, we will not allow the enemy to seize the bridge and occupy our land. Until now, we have remained standing thanks to the determination of our people and fighters.

One of the reasons why we are able to put up such resistance against all the heavy weapons of the Turkish state is the moral strength we receive from our people. Against the technical superiority of the enemy, we fight on the basis of the philosophy and ideology of the Leader. Especially in recent times, we have seen the spirit of the revolutionary people's war. It is our people who enable us to fight and resist with such strength and morale. The war is still going on. Our greatest strength is our people. It is our people who have kept us standing until now. As long as the war continues, we will resist and liberate our land.”
