Nûrî El Xelîl, one of the commanders of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, drew attention to the counter activities of the forces loyal to the Damascus government and stated that the SDF is ready to respond to any attack.

Drawing attention to the activities of the Damascus government and its affiliated gangs in Deir ez-Zor, al-Xelîl said, "There are great threats to Northern and Eastern Syria. The Damascus government is trying to undermine the security of the region, especially Deir ez-Zor, due to its strategic importance. However, as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), we are always ready to respond to the attacks of the Iranian militias and the gangs affiliated with the Damascus government."

Al-Xelîl commended the role of the SDF in responding to the recent attacks on the areas of Xiranîj, Sebhe, Teyane and Zîban and some other areas east of Deir ez-Zor and denounced the indiscriminate attacks with howitzers and mortars that caused the martyrdom of civilians.

Al-Xelîl also commended the support of civilians for the SDF, noting that they are ready to respond to any attack on the region to ensure stability and security.
