Two ISIS leaders captured in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor

The SDF continues their security operations against the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS who are trying to exploit the prevailing chaos in Syria and carry out its terrorist acts.

The Military Operations Teams (TOL) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) conducted a precise security operation targeting two leaders of ISIS terrorist cells in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

"Based on precise information about the activities of the two terrorists, our forces raided where the two terrorists were hiding in the town of “Khisham”, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. Our forces imposed a tight cordon on the terrorist hideout and captured them," said the SDF Press Center in a statement about the operation.

According to the statement, the first terrorist is a security leader “Emir” and named “Karim Al-Nahar”, and the second one is called “Abdul Karim Amir Al-Karim Al-Nahar”. Both of them are from the same town.

SDF said that the captured terrorists were involved in carrying out several terrorist acts against our forces and civilian institutions, in addition to targeting fuel tankers.

"Despite our forces' preoccupation in repelling the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the areas of north and eastern Syria; However, at the same time, we continue our security operations against the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS who are trying to exploit the prevailing chaos in Syria and carry out its terrorist acts," the statement added.
