Turkish bombardments cause power outages in northern Syria

Due to the air strikes of the occupying Turkish state against the surroundings of Qamişlo, electricity was cut in Tirbespiyê, Çilaxa district and villages and towns in Dêrik city.

The occupying Turkish state, which suffered a great defeat against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas in the Medya Defence Zones, bombarded infrastructure facilities in some places in the Cizîr Canton last night.

As a result of the bombardment by warplanes, Seîda petrol station in Dêrik city and the electricity station in Bana Şikeftê were damaged. Ewda Petrol Station in Tirbespiyê district also went out of operation as a result of the bombardment, while the blackout also affected the gas pumps in Siwêdiyê station, which provides electricity throughout the Cizîr canton, leading to power outages in Tirbespiyê, Çilaxa district and many villages and towns in Dêrik city.

Gas pumps are currently operating at less than 50 per cent capacity, officials said.

In the meantime, the Turkish state, which expanded its attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria regions, bombed the village of Sheale and Xirbet in Shehba in the morning.
