Turkish-backed mercenaries kidnapped 7 civilians and tortured 2 children in Afrin in a week

The gangs of the occupying Turkish state kidnapped 7 people, seriously injured another and tortured 2 children in a week.

The Violations Documentation Centre published a report on the crimes committed in the Turkish-occupied Afrin in the first week of August.

Attacks

According to the report, the "Military Police" mercenaries allied with the occupying Turkish army tortured Rênas Omer (16) and Xelîl Omer (17) in Rajo district on 5 August.

The soldiers of the occupying Turkish state shot at Mihemed Xelef Îsa while he was trying to cross the border into Northern Kurdistan. Mihemed was seriously wounded as a result of the gunfire.

Abduction

Jaysh al-Watani mercenaries kidnapped Ednan Mihemed Elî Hecî (63) and his son Elî Ednan Hecî (20) in the occupied city of Afrin. The gangs of the same group also kidnapped Hesen Elî Elî (47), Mihemed Elî Elî (33) in Jindires district and 2 people in Hema city.

On 3 August, a citizen named Xelîl Ebdo Cimo from Berad village of Sherawa district was kidnapped by "Military Police" gangs in Afrin.

Ransom

The report also includes the release of abducted persons in exchange for ransom. According to the report, a citizen named Ehmed Mihemed Mihemed was abducted by gangs after he was forcibly sent back to Afrin from his home in Turkey. The "Military Police" released Ehmed Mihemed 15 days after his abduction, on 6 August, in exchange for 5 thousand dollars.

Ciwan Hemîd (42), from Oga village in Bilbilê district, was kidnapped on 18 July in Afrin city. The "Military Police" gangs released Ciwan Hemîd in return for a ransom of 4 thousand dollars.

Seizure of property

A gang member of Ebdulrezaq Hemdo seized the property of a citizen named Mêrvan Henan in Jabaliye village of Afrin.

A member of the Ahrar al-Sharqiya mercenaries sold the house of Ebdurehman Mihemed from Xilnêr village for 1,500 dollars to a gang member from Hama.
