Til Temir: SDF foils attacks, Turkey moves troops

After an attack by the Turkish-linked SNA foot troops on villages in the area of Til Temir was repelled, the occupation forces bombed the region with artillery. Troop movements were detected.

Things are quiet this morning at the front around the villages of Gozelî and Til Eleban near the northern Syrian city of Til Temir. On Thursday evening, mercenaries from the so-called Syrian National Army (SNA), an alliance of right-wing extremist and jihadist militias commanded by the Turkish state, tried to take the two villages.

Fighters from the Til Temir Military Council repelled the attack, destroyed at least one SNA vehicle and forced the mercenaries to retreat. After the retreat, artillery shots were fired on the villages throughout the night and morning.

At the same time, the Turkish state seems to be preparing new attacks. According to ANHA reports, significant troop movements have been detected. Some villages are now under siege.

The occupation troops have been trying hard to expand their territories over the past few weeks. Between March 19 and 21, the SNA attacked the neighbouring district of Ain Issa with Turkish air support. However, the attackers were repelled by the SDF.

Now the occupation forces seem to want to test the defense of Til Temir again. The Til Temir district with its predominantly Christian population has long been targeted by the jihadist SNA militias. The last time the SNA tried to occupy the village of Umm al-Keyf near Til Temir was on 8 March. The invasion troops failed due to the resistance of the defenders of the self-governing region.
