SDF captures members of Turkish-backed mercenaries in Heseke

In Heseke, the SDF targeted a cell of Turkish-backed mercenaries attempting to carry out criminal activities in the region.

On Wednesday, the Military Operations Teams (TOL) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) conducted a precise and well-executed security operation in the city of Heseke, targeting a cell of mercenaries belonging to the Turkish state, which was attempting to carry out criminal activities in the region.

“Following extensive monitoring and intelligence gathering on the cell’s activities within Heseke, our forces surrounded their location and successfully captured two mercenaries of the cell, Firas Muhammad Abdullah aka “Abu Tamir,” and Ahmed Farhan Abdul Hameed,” said the statement by SDF Press Center on Saturday.

According to the SDF, the captured mercenaries are members of the so-called “Suleiman Shah Division,” also known as “Al-Amshat,” a group linked to the Turkish occupation state. These mercenaries were plotting criminal and sabotage operations, inciting chaos and discord among the people of the region, and provoking against the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

"Our forces remain committed to pursuing all terrorist and criminal cells seeking to disrupt the region’s security and stability. We will take decisive action against anyone who threatens civil peace, public security, or the unity of the community," the statement added.
