The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center announced the outcome of their legitimate response operations against the attacks by the Turkish army and its mercenaries on January 26.
The SDF statement on Monday includes the following:
"As part of the legitimate response to the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, our forces conducted yesterday operations targeting with heavy weapons the mercenaries’ positions and gatherings on the Qara Qwzaq Bridge front, including the villages of “Tal Arsh” and “Khudey Hill,” as well as another gathering points at the Bridge checkpoint, the park and the “Um Al-Rus” village. It was confirmed that eight mercenaries belonging to the so-called “Jund al-Haramain,” including a regiment commander, were eliminated, and 13 others were wounded.
Our Martyr Haroun Units also conducted two successful operations targeting mercenary gatherings and vehicles in “Khudey Hill,” “Nowruz,” and a nearby park. A mercenary vehicle was effectively targeted, although the exact number of eliminated and injured mercenaries remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Turkish occupation warplanes launched several airstrikes on the villages of “Ghasaq,” “Melha,” “Abu Qalqal,” and “Sha’baniya.” Turkish occupation UCAVs also carried out two strikes on the village of “Bir Hisso.” However, these raids caused no damage. The Turkish forces indiscriminately targeted the entire front line of the Qara Qwzaq Bridge with heavy artillery, rockets, and mortar shells, bombarding the villages of “Al-Tineh,” “Ja’ada,” “Bir Hisso,” “Qara Qwzaq,” and “Melha.” Despite the intensity of the shelling, no significant damage was reported.
On the Tishreen Dam front, Turkish warplanes conducted several airstrikes yesterday morning on villages surrounding the dam, southeast of Manbij, specifically targeting “Khirbet al-Zamalah” and its surroundings. This was accompanied by intensive artillery shelling, but no damage resulted. In the early evening, a Turkish UCAV targeted civilians on the dam itself, resulting in minor injuries to 10 civilians.
On the Deir Hafer front, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries used Grad rockets and mortars, while UCAVs carried out two strikes on our positions, slightly damaging a military vehicle. In response, our Martyr Haroun Units targeted a mercenary gathering, injuring several mercenaries. Turkish UCAVs continued to fly over the region throughout the day.
