SDF: 28 mercenaries eliminated, 36 others injured

SDF forces are confronting Turkish occupation forces and allied mercenaries who continue the aggressive attacks against the regions of north and eastern Syria, employing warplanes, UCAVs, tanks, artillery, and heavy weaponry.

The Press Centre of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the outcome of Monday’s clashes and battles on the fronts north of Tishrin Dam and Qaraqozaq Bridge.

The Turkish occupation forces and allied mercenaries continue the aggressive attacks against the regions of north and eastern Syria, employing warplanes, UCAVs, tanks, artillery, and heavy weaponry. However, they encounter fierce resistance from the SDF forces, who successfully repel all the attacks, said the SDF statement, which further included the following:

"Yesterday afternoon, at 12:45 PM, Turkish occupation mercenaries launched an attack on the “Abu Saeed” farm, located southeast of Manbij. They initiated their attack utilizing BMB vehicles and armored vehicles. Intense clashes erupted between our fighters and the mercenaries. Simultaneously, our Martyr Haroun Units targeted mercenary gatherings, eliminating and injuring several mercenaries and forcing them to retreat. The mercenaries subsequently renewed their attack, but again met with robust resistance from our forces. Clashes continued until the early evening, resulting in:

1. Five armored vehicles were destroyed.

2. Two military vehicles were destroyed.

3. 17 mercenary gathering points were targeted.

In addition to the previously mentioned engagements, gatherings and points of the mercenaries were also targeted with heavy weaponry.

Following significant blows dealt by our forces, the Turkish occupation resorted to UCAVs airstrikes. These strikes intensively targeted the region, resulting in injuries to four of our fighters.

In these clashes, /23/ mercenaries were confirmed eliminated, and an additional /24/ were injured, including /10/ with serious injuries.

On the Qaraqozaq front, our fighters utilized heavy weaponry and rocket launchers to target mercenary points and positions in the village of Qabir Imo, and the vicinity of Syriatel Tower, resulting in the elimination of five mercenaries and injuries to 12 others.

Turkish occupation warplanes conducted airstrikes on several populated villages, including Bir Hisso, Tallat Rola near the Qaraqozaq Bridge, and the Serrin airport and silos. However, these strikes did not cause significant damage. Concurrently, the Turkish occupation shelled with heavy weaponry the villages of Bir Hisso, Ja’dah, Nur Ali, Karak, and Al-Tineh, as well as the vicinity of the Qaraqozaq Bridge.

On the Deir Hafer front, Turkish occupation UCAVs conducted three airstrikes on a position belonging to our forces. These strikes did not cause significant damage. Additionally, four suicide drones targeted the village of Al-Muftahiya. One of these drones was successfully shot down by our fighters, while the remaining three exploded without causing any significant damage. A Turkish UCAV also targeted a position belonging to the Internal Security Forces in the village of Debsi Afnan, but again, no significant damage was reported.

Furthermore, our fighters successfully intercepted and shot down another suicide drone. Concurrently, our Martyr Harun Units conducted four operations against mercenary gatherings in the village of Al-Imam. While the exact number of casualties among the mercenaries remains unknown.

Yesterday, the confirmed number of eliminated mercenaries reached 28, with an additional 36 injured, including ten with severe injuries. Five armored vehicles and two military vehicles were destroyed. Our forces successfully targeted mercenary gatherings 24 times and shot down one suicide drone. Four of our fighters were wounded, and communication with three others was lost."
