The birthday of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan was celebrated with various events in dozens of cities in Northern and Eastern Syria.

SHEHBA

A celebration was organized at the Babnisê School by the Afrin Democratic Society Education and Training Committee in Shehba, where the people from Afrin have been living since the invasion of Turkey in 2018.

The Afrin Municipalities and Environment Committee opened a garden named Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in the village of Til Sosin.

A celebration was organized for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan at the Siwaqa School in the district of Fafîn by the Kongra Star Afrin Coordination.

The celebration, attended by thousands of people, started with a minute silence.

RAQQA

The Martyr Erdal Şahin Culture Festival was held in Raqqa organised by the Revolutionary Youth Movement on the occasion of the birthday of Abdullah Öcalan. This was the first edition of the festival and it was attended by young people from Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir Ez-zor. YPJ representatives also attended the festival, which coincided with the anniversary of the establishment of the Women’s Defence Units.

FIRST VILLAGE VISITED by ABDULLAH ÖCALAN

Thousands of people from Kobanê Canton met in Elpelûre, the first village where Abdullah Öcalan stayed while in Rojava.

People came together in front of the Agriculture Committee Center carrying photographs of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

In Til Berak too an event was organised in Avesta park as part of the celebration for Öcalan ‘s birthday.

Representatives of civil and military institutions attended the event organized by Kongra Star with the slogan "Time to ensure the freedom of Leader Öcalan" at Qamishlo Culture and Art Center.

As part of the celebration of Adullah Öcalan's birthday, an event was organized in the village of Sinceqa Sadun.
