People from Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor to take over the vigil at Tishrin Dam

The vigil launched at the Tishrin Dam against the attacks by the occupying Turkish state continues decisively despite frequent bombings and massacres.

Since 8 January, civilians from North-East Syria have been holding a vigil at the Tishrin Dam to protect their territory alongside the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Women's Defense Units (YPJ) who are confronting attacks by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries called the Syrian National Army (SNA).

As the vigil continues on its 46th day, people maintain their determination despite the deadly attacks repeatedly directed against them, which have claimed the lives of dozens of people, including three journalists.

People from Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor cantons set out to join the ongoing resistance at Tishrin.

Dozens of citizens gathered at Firûsiyê intersection west of Raqqa and merged with the convoy of people coming from Deir ez-Zor.

Residents of Tabqa Canton, who are waiting near the Mehmûdlî camp in the east of the city, will join the convoy from Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor.
