A new group of people coming from 4 cities of Cizir Canton reached Tishrin Dam and took over the vigil on the 93rd day.
The people of Northern and Eastern Syria have been resisting the attacks of the occupying Turkish state and its gangs on the Tishrin Dam and Qereqozaq Bridge since 8 January 2025.
Hundreds of people from the cities of Qamishlo, Amudê, Til Hemîs and Tirbespiyê in the Cizir Canton went to the Tishrin Dam to join the ongoing resistance.
The convoy was welcomed by the people who continued the vigil that has been going on for 93 days.
In the 93-day civil action, thousands of people from all the the region (Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians-Syriacs, Armenians), young, women and old, took over the vigil with great determination.
Every two days, a new group of citizens takes over the vigil. Between 8 January and 8 April, seven separate groups from the Euphrates Canton, six from the Tabqa, Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor Cantons, and 14 from the Cizir Canton participated in the vigil.
Attacks by Turkey
Since the beginning of the action, the attacks carried out by the Turkish state and its proxies have not stopped. As a result of the air strikes, 25 citizens, including journalists, politicians, and artists, were killed, and 240 citizens were injured.
