Massive protest after deadly Turkish drone attack in Qamishlo

Thousands gathered to protest on the streets of the Hilêliyê neighborhood in the northern Syrian city of Qamishlo following the Turkish drone strike that killed three residents yesterday.

After three civilians were killed in a Turkish drone attack in the Hilêliyê neighborhood in the northern Syrian city of Qamishlo on Tuesday, thousands took to the streets on Wednesday in the neighborhood where the attack took place. People commemorated the three politically active martyrs from the Gulo family; Yusif, Mazlum and Mihemed Gulo.

The crowd moved to the family's house and expressed their anger with slogans such as "We will stand up for the revolutionary people's war until the end." The protesters carried the pictures of the martyrs, the flags of the Council of Martyrs’ Families, the women's movement Kongreya Star and the PYD, and repeatedly shouted "Şehîd namirin!" (Martyrs are immortal).

Earlier, the YPG, the Autonomous Administration, and the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) had condemned the attack in strong terms.
