The Kurds and their friends gathered in Florence to protest the NATO-Turkey agreement in front of the Swedish consulate.

The Kurds and their friends gathered in front of the Swedish Consulate in Florence to protest the NATO-Turkey agreement signed in return for Sweden and Finland joining the alliance.

Alessandro Orsetti, father of YPG martyr Lorenzo Orsetti, spoke at the protest. Orsetti said that democratic countries such as Sweden and Finland bowed to the fascist dictator Erdogan in order to enter NATO. "The YPG and YPJ are not terrorist organizations, they are just organizations fighting for an honourable and legitimate life."

Rete Jin, FLC CGIL, Communist Party Florence organization, Antifascist groups and feminist women's organizations supported the action.
