Kongra Star calls for international investigation against Turkish massacres in North-East Syria

Denouncing the Turkish state’s massacres against civilians, Kongra Star called for immediate action and an international investigation.

Kongra Star, the umbrella organization of women in North-East Syria, released a statement denouncing the massacres of civilians by the occupying Turkish state in the region.

Kongra Star emphasized that massacres against the Syrian peoples have become systematic and said, “This practice is against all international agreements and principles, especially human rights.”

Kongra Star also criticized the international silence against the attacks, saying, “It is necessary to remind the United Nations, the UN Security Council and all international organizations concerned with human rights that remaining silent is considered as complicity in these crimes and increases the suffering of the innocent. In this sense, it is both legally and morally unacceptable to be a partner in crime.”

Kongra Star called on the international community to put pressure on Turkey's institutions through an international investigation and to take urgent action to protect civilians.
