The Syrian Federation for Human Rights and 98 Syrian human rights organisations and institutions condemned the attacks and crimes of the Turkish state against civilians in North and East Syria.
The joint statement warned that these attacks will lead to the return of ISIS gangs and appealed to international institutions and organisations with the following demands:
- All acts of violence and massacres in Syria and Kurdish areas must stop.
- Turkish forces and affiliated armed groups must withdraw unconditionally from all parts of Syria.
- The persons abducted by the Turkish state and its armed groups must be accounted for and released immediately.
- Forced migration and demographic change policies must be stopped.
- It is essential that the Kurdish question is resolved in a fair and democratic manner within the framework of the Syrian constitution.
- A culture of citizenship, reconciliation and internal peace must be developed to guarantee the unity of Syrian society.
