HRE fighter Berfîn Efrîn buried in Shehba

HRE fighter Berfîn Efrîn, who died in Northern Syria on Sunday, was buried in the canton of Shehba. Gulê Hemo from the women's association Kongra Star said at the funeral that the women of Afrin will never give up their resistance.

HRE fighter Berfîn Efrîn, who died on 19 November in the Afrin region, was buried in the Shehba canton. Her body was brought in a convoy from Fafîn to Ehrez and carried from the town hall to the cemetery of the martyrs in Ehrez. “Revenge” was repeatedly shouted along the way.

At the cemetery, Hesen Berko from the Martyrs’ Families Council gave a speech and expressed the condolences of the council to the relatives of the fighter and said: “Martyr Berfîn made a promise to her people and kept her word. We will always follow our children's path. These young people defended the existence of the Kurdish people.”

Gulê Hemo from the women's umbrella organization Kongra Star said: “Hevala Berfîn was the daughter of Afrin and the bride of Kurdistan. The women and mothers of Afrin will never give up their resistance. The enemy will feel the will of free women.”

After the speeches, the certificate of the martyr was read out and presented to the family.
