HBDH claims responsibility for attack in Bayrampaşa

The action was carried out in retaliation for the 33 lives taken in Sivas on 2 July 1993 by the government and jihadist of that time.

The Peoples' United Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) Militia said it carried out an action targeting the Mehmet Akif Ersoy facilities in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul on 3 July.

The statement said that the action was carried out in retaliation for the 33 lives taken in Sivas on 2 July 1993 by the government and jihadist of that time.

The statement said: “The perpetrators of Sivas and Çorum are the AKP-MHP fascist coalitions that are sitting in power today. This government still continues its massacres using jihadist groups in the country and the region.”

The statement reminded that the AKP mayor of Bayrampaşa, Atilla Aydıner has links with jihadists, the HBDH said: “The AKP is the place where the jihadists meet with the perpetrators of the Sivas massacre and what is left of ISIS, the same who murder Alevis every day. AKP is a fascist organization that has become the biggest threat to workers, women, Alevis, Kurds, and the peoples of the region.”
