Funeral in Kobanê for 9 fighters who fell martyrs in attacks by the Turkish state

A mass funeral was held in Kobanê for the 9 fighters who fell martyrs in attacks by the Turkish state and affiliated gangs.

Between 8-11 December, 9 fighters fell as martyrs in the attacks by the Turkish state and its allied Syrian National Army (SMO) gangs. A mass funeral was held in Kobanê for the martyrs. The ceremony, which took place at the Dicle Martyrs' Cemetery, began with a moment of silence for the martyrs Dilyar (Dilyar Beyrem), Behcet (Behcet Omer), Xişman (Xişman Îsmaîl), Dijwar Xizênê (Riyad Bekî), Şervan Kobanê (Feyad Şêxo), Baz Kobanê (Mihemed İbrahîm), Ayşe (Ayşe Abdullqadir), Îman (Îman El Mûsa), and Xemgîn Firat (Ocalan Mislim).

Macîde Hesûn, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination of the Euphrates Canton, condemned the occupation attacks. She said that these attacks would mark the beginning of the defeat of the occupying Turkish state, adding: "Kobanê, which is the place where the collapse of ISIS began, will also be the symbol of Erdoğan's collapse." Hesûn added: "Our will is superior to the technique of war. Our fighters are writing an epic. We Kurds, Arabs, and all other peoples are fighting for the freedom of our land."

Bekir Ceradê, speaking on behalf of the Martyrs' Families Assembly of the Euphrates Canton, said: "Throughout history, we have always been fighting for our rights, and our fighters are writing an honorable history with their resistance."

At the end of the speeches, the martyrdom certificates of the 9 martyrs were read and handed over to their families.
