European Parliament to host Rojava Conference on 11 December

The European Parliament will host a conference on Northern and Eastern Syria - Rojava.

The conference is being promoted by the Greens / EFA group, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the International Alliance for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms (AIDL).

During the two-day conference on December 11 and 12, deputies, human rights defenders, academics, representatives of organizations defending press freedom, journalists and researchers will make presentations.

The conference will start at 4.30 pm on Wednesday. On Thursday there will be several sessions between 9.30 am and 5 pm.

THE REAL FACE OF THE TURKISH STATE AND THEIR MERCENARY ALLIES

The organizers of the conference told ANFthat for the first time, a conference on Rojava will be held in the European Parliament and that their aim is to reveal the true face of the Turkish state.

Among the participants will be Per Örneus, humanitarian ambassador at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, former French Minister of Foreign Affairs and Co-Founder of the Doctors Without Borders Organization. Bernard Kouchner, former US diplomat and political adviser Peter W. Galbraith, RSF Middle East Bureau Officer Sabrine Bennoui, French political and Middle Eastern religions expert Amelie Chelly, Paris Bar lawyer Sevag Torossian, Greens, Left Union, Socialist and Democrats Parliamentarians from the Progressive Alliance, Usama Suleiman, founder and director of the Syrian Human Rights Observatory, and officials from the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria.

Turkish occupation of northern and eastern Syria, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, war crimes, relations of Turkish state with ISIS mercenary groups, international law mechanisms, reality of mercenary groups gathered under the name of Syrian National Army, Turkish occupation and its reflections in the Arab world, the attitude of the EU, NATO and the UN on Turkish occupation, perspectives for Syria, the role of civil society in peace and the efforts to resolve the Syrian conflict will be the main topics of discussion.
